Nice to meet David Howe and family in Berwick now getting his hands dirty as Jyes mechanic.

At the start of the season he was going full time with NBJ. Probably just moved over to another pit bay. :t:

After last night with a big crowd and great atmosphere does anybody think that IF all 3 teams run next year there could be a place for each club to run a double header against the other two for some sort of northern championship based on aggregate scores or 3 points for a win but not counting as league matches. It could be run with the old 13 heat format to save a bit of time and cost.Would maybe work if the fans would turn up for them and create an atmosphere like last night.

There was a three team tournament run a few years ago with back in the Berrington Lough days

Used to enjoy the 3TT’s at Rye House in the late 80’s/early 90’s. Always a bumper crowd with the likes of Hackney/Arena Essex/Peterborough/Mildenhall. It was run over the Easter and late Summer Bank Holiday weekends

yes 3 team tournament was a good idea,  3 x 7 man teams Glasgow, Edinburgh, Berwick would be good for crowd figures

Indeed keeps interest going that way. Get a sponsor on-board £1,0000 for winning team.

Looks and sounds like a recreation of the 4's qualifiers with 4 teams and 4 riders per team. Seem to remember sometime ago Jon Cook ran a 3 team event in a single meeting, possible at Eastbourne, and it was a total shambles.

I can’t remember if we had reserves. All but one or two of my meeting programmes were dumped when we moved up here. There were rather a lot!!

Thanks to luck, judgement, and the good old fashioned weather we had a great night on Saturday and something I would like to see repeated, maybe at the start of next season and have a three teamed event.

Would be a good season opener. Friday at Edinburgh, Saturday at Berwick, Sunday at Glasgow.
