LesR 139 Posted September 12, 2019 SCB STATEMENT: CRAIG COOK Thursday September 12, 2019 On Wednesday 11th September a SCB Court of Appeal was convened at the ACU Offices in Rugby. This related to an appeal brought by Craig Cook against a 12 day suspension imposed following events that took place at Eastbourne on the 3rd August 2019. After considering all the information from all parties, the 12 day suspension was recinded and replaced with a financial penalty.

00000 1,279 Posted September 12, 2019 (edited) Shameful decision by SCB. No reason given for the decision. No transparency from the SCB. How do they justify the ban for Kennett and Vissing? Ho much was the fine? Edited September 12, 2019 by Richard Weston
thecoombdog 2,367 Posted September 12, 2019 Think any of us who have seen a similar situation at work where someone is in trouble and gets away with it will know exactly what has happened.
stevebrum 6,820 Posted September 12, 2019 A crazy decision, and it really is who you know and how much money you are prepared to spend. 6
HGould 2,213 Posted September 12, 2019 It would be unbelievable and a disgrace, other than it's no surprise. Stitch up and cover up. Sports a joke.

Grachan 7,351 Posted September 12, 2019 An explanation as to why might have been useful. Seems unfair on the riders that did receive a ban. 5

Star Lady 5,400 Posted September 12, 2019 Agree that SCB should give reasons but the other riders involved had the same chance as Cook to appeal, and didn't, so no sympathy from me. 1 1 1

How do they justify the ban for Kennett and Vissing? Ho much was the fine? And was the cheque signed by the facennas? We need to know how they reached this conclusion and the reasons. I can see kennett and Vissing taking legal action for loss of earnings. It was Cook’s reaction which started the melee which prompted their actions.

Perhaps both accepted they acted wrongly and accepted their punishment
