Craig Cook Ban Dropped

Recommended Posts

Can only think that Cook has pictures of someone with influence hanging out of the back end of a donkey to have got away with this :D

The decision in itself is shocking.

What makes it 1000x worse is the complete and utter contempt that The SCB show in the statement.

No explanation of the reasons and issues behind the decision and no clarify about the amount of the Fine.

So lets say as an example Kennett and Vissing lose 3-5k in earnings while banned.

If Cooks fine is 5k or more at least an appreciation that he has lost earning and therefore being punished.

To just say "fined" is just not acceptable.

Is anyone really suprised. The old boys club make it up as they go along. No wonder the fans are leaving in their droves.

At last...

Justice has been done...

Everyone move along please, there's nothing to see here, mind you don't trip on that carpet we've lifted up to brush under on your way out..

Hope Craig sets up a 'just giving' page to help with the fine..

British Speedway :D

Agree that SCB should give reasons but the other riders involved had the same chance as Cook to appeal, and didn't, so no sympathy from me.

Vissing appealed but was refused a hearing.

The fact that it is just stated as "a fine" without the amount definitely means the level of fine is not substantial. :o

You can only laugh at this point...

This was always going to be the outcome, as soon as the appeal was made.

At this point, it really does feell like the last drops of water are being squeezed out of the washcloth for the people involved and everyone is just trying to milk as much out of the remaining few seasons as possible.

Just out of curiosity what would you consider substantial?

This is just unbelievable. Yu could....and we did, go on for days aurguing over who started it, how it happened, why it happened, was it provoked etc etc but it is a FACT that Cook thew a punch and was involved and was the main culprit, hence the original ban being longer.

How the hell can he get away withoit a ban. This is the SCB at its worse and a fingers up to fairness!

I would estimate Craig Cook faced a large fine. At least £5 in my estimation.

That's probably as much as he earned in the recent CLRC.

I can see kennett and Vissing taking legal action for loss ofIt was Cook’s reaction which started the melee which prompted their actions.

The reaction of the wayward marshal started the melee.

Its also a fact that the Marshal put himself in danger that started the melee.

Im not standing up for Cook in the slightest, but too many guilty parties involved and unfair penalties dished out.

Given the outcome and what most people seen in the video footage ,the only thing shocking is that Vissing and Kennett got a ban.
