I understand that Leicester vs Redcar is being run Sat 12th Oct

Nothing on BSPA or Lions site to confirm this.

Was in the local paper that Leicester had offered the 12th but Jade said that Redcar wanted a date sooner as that was too long to wait for the tie to be concluded

Be interesting, to see. Who the Lions, select as a guest, for the Redcar leg. Due to circumstances, not a lot of choice. Adam Ellis, might be best bet, Lewis Kerr and Ben Barker could come into the reckoning, with maybe Kyle Howarth and even Garrity. Should be revealed soon.

What about Richard Lawson?

He's now Redcar's guest for their home leg - his average is too high for Leicester to use as a guest

Ridiculous! Where's the sense of prioritisation over any other planned fixture? - probably all simply to allow Scottie to show off another shirt this Saturday night!

This was the earliest possible date. They can’t run this week because the National League team have their play off Semi Final & Cup Semi Final

Have to disagree Lenny, so there was no possibility of, as example, a double header? No disrespect intended to the NL team, but in priority terms surely the Championship play-off has to take priority.

The Cubs already have a double header on Saturday and then some of them including Lions Perks are involved in the NL Riders Championship on Sunday. Some of the Lions are also involved in the PL playoffs next week.

Can't seem to find any news confirming Lawson as our rr,  where did the source come from

With respect, that double header (or at least one half of it) should have been pushed back to allow the higher priority (sorry, but it is the case) Championship play-off to take place; alternatively why couldn't one or the other be staged mid week (I'm sure Leicester have staged a few mid week meetings this season) just as Glasgow had to last night?

Team news confirmed here. Lawson for Toft,  Howarth for Worrall.

The back straight will be open for additional spectator space for the next 2 meetings - only other time was for the Fours last year and it give an excellent view of the racing.
