put some more of that shale down on the track rather than leaving it on the "landing strip" on the infield.

Friday night tracks are much more consistent than afternoon tracks at the EWR.

Friday night racing is definitely much better. The track holds up better and more fans attend.
But surely they have to plan assuming it’ll be a Friday night seeing as if they face Glasgow then they’ll probably use the Sunday as their home meeting.

I would race at home Friday, try and get a lead and then try and hold on away personally.

Disagree, if anything crowds are better on a Sunday.

Track prep can be a difficult if its warm but if it was 5pm start at this time of year its not going to be a problem.

Crowds on a Sunday are only better the 1 time in a season is when Glasgow come and take over..fact

This season, our crowds have been the best I've seen in years... Leicester cup, Poole and U19s probably the lowest ones (first two being weather related).. We could do with praying Leicester beat Glasgow today, then having Glasgow here on Friday, smash them (again) then doing enough to qualify for the next round

Don't we (Glasgow) have seniority over Scunthorpe on a Friday night so we will be holding the Friday leg? If that's how it turns out

True, but since Redcar and Edinburgh are following seniority protocols figures that everyone else should

I’m sure the side finishing highest in league would want the have the 2 nd leg as there home fixture

2017 Sheffield topped table, home leg Vs Glasgow at Sheffield 1st. Year met Edinburgh in play offs they were above us in table away leg Friday as Edinburgh seniority home leg on our alternative race day. Promoters want their regular race night as this is night know means biggest crowds.

Hopefully not required as we should beat Leicester or more likely it's rained off and can race it Friday Saturday with Leicester

Does it really matter who is at home first in speedway. Scunthorpe will get beat over 2 legs by everyone as we are pants away or is it just another debating point by the key board warriors who want to have a go at Rob Godfrey :t:

Friday seniority is:

1. Edinburgh 2. Scunthorpe 3. Glasgow 4. Redcar

If that's the case can you explain why Scunthorpe's home fixture with Glasgow was raced on a Sunday not a Friday?

Due to a mistake in the original fixture list. At which point, Scunthorpe decided to stick with it, because it allowed the British Youth Championship Round to be spread over both that and the following week's Edinburgh meeting.

Scunthorpe surrendered Friday nights so both Glasgow and Redcar could stick to their normal race-night (co-operation between managements), but the Glasgow one was rained off and ended up on a Sunday.
