Albert 304 Posted February 14, 2021 I know making several changes isn't likely to happen, difficult task given the limited rider availability! If the season gets underway, which is far from a given..it shouldn't be a case of just having speedway back. Somehow the powers that be have managed to make a "fixed geographical draw" look like its been pulled out of the hat. There are very few perks except maybe the south coast teams fans and of course the promotions who avoid the cost of two early rounds of a competition with potentially limited attendances. Im sure the list was carefully studied and decided that everyone is going to smash Scunny over two legs but as the draw stands they have progressed further than 4 teams and ensured the Lions are into the final 4. Everyone knows I've never been Robs biggest fan but Speedway was destroyed in this country long before Rob took over. Scunny minus Jake Allens scoring at Leicester is 20pt defeat at least. While Leicesters EWR specialists Dougie; Morris, Howarth, Procter & Bates might not be far off repeating the dose at Scunny !. There are lots of unknowns about the 2021 season not least if it will start ?. But one real unknown is how riders will return after a year off ?. I reckon the Aussies will steal a march here because they have had the most of limited world wide track time.
