Reasonable day weather wise, loads of dark clouds. Sunshine around 5pm. 5.30 pm clouds open for 15 minutes or so. Feel sorry for any travelling fans.

Very difficult to understand why they could not have bladed the track in the 1.1/2 hours before the meeting was due to start. No effort to do anything doesn’t sit well with me.Certainly it was not flooded and did not look like it was going to rain.Scunthorpe scenario springs to mind.Having watched the Newcastle match a couple of weeks ago, something doesn’t add up.History now though.Another nail for the sport though.

Looking at Twitter quite a few fans arrived to an empty stadium. Never good.

So we roll into October again for the playoffs. Pack your thermals.

So its on to Tuesday, rarely a good night crowd wise and MBA goes to reserve. Hopefully the weather sorts itself. M'on the Tigers.

Think you need to look again, MBA doesn't go to reserve as he can't drop below 4

A very late postponement, meaning riders and a lot of fans had travelled. There is a lot of merit in early call offs, it is a risk because weather does sometimes improve but it saves everyone a lot of time and money.

There is a lot of merit in an early postponement but not when all forecasts suggest it will be dry from lunchtime on wards.

Seems it was dry not that long before start time with fans in the stadium or queuing , was it raining when the ref called it ?? Even Paulco seemed shocked it was called off

There was a shower around 5.15 pm which lasted for about 15 mins it was torrential for that period , this probably ruined all the hard work the track staff put in getting the surface into a raceable condition.

Unfortunately these things happen and remembering the track took on a lot of rain during the week , british weather tends to do this at this time of year.

Paulco i doubt would have been shocked at the call off he would probably have expected it after the heavy shower but i will ask him , don't think i have seen him shocked at anything , so maybe a slight dramatisation there.
