Almost certainly Swindon v Wolves.

Why Wolves? What did they achieve? BV and Ipswich were the runners up in the two competitions.

Since no team won the other title why not have Sheffield or any other new club to the league or for a big crowd a Somerset based select

Many many apologies. Don't know why I said Wolves? A senior moment. The shield should have been Poole v Swindon but obviously can't be so Poole beat KL in the Shield so it should be Swindon v Kings Lynn.

Maybe the opponents in the Shield should be Poole’s 2020 team

No it shouldn't have been. It should be Swindon v Belle Vue or Ipswich who were the two runners up.

So, who is El Tel alluding to? Surely no promoter would be stupid enough to ramp up the prices in a depressed market given that most teams are struggling for regular crowds.

Every title-winning team has made a similar argument about increasing the points limit in previous years and not only been turned down but effectively shouted down for being so stupid as many clubs would simply not be able to afford it - even though they don't all pay 'silly money' to riders.

If it or something close to it is agreed at the AGM, will Buster be increasing his budget at all the clubs he has an interest in in order for them to be competitive?  Its more likely to drive clubs away from the Premiership than attracting more to come up - even with the incentive of a Eurosport £50k per club.

£50k per year sounds a lot but some riders get that as a single signing on fee in Poland and I'm not just talking GP riders!!!  Promoters have been rightly criticised in the past for simply paying out their Sky monies to get the top riders, rather than investing it in their own club's infrastructure, Surely thats a very similar outcome to what TR is suggesting.

Firstly, you suggest that other clubs would have to shell out big time to be competitive, but that’s not the case, is it?

Swindon weren’t run away league winners this season.

They hardly won any away matches before the play offs.

They were lucky to come good at the right time.

On the eve of the semis it seemed that Wolves were the fancied club, especially with Douglas and Becker at reserve.

One rider injury or loss of form and Swindon wouldn’t have won.

Even if Wolves didn’t strengthen next season there’s every chance that they could beat this year’s Swindon team, especially with Douglas and Becker improving.

Having said all of that I don’t think a 46.34 limit next season will be fair if there are more than eight teams because that would make it too difficult for the ninth club to find the right riders.

Not lucky to improve! Rosco made the right replacement signings when Lampert withheld his services. Continued improvement after Razzer signed & then the changes to reserves when Zach retired. Good management from Rosco.

So was it good management that Rosco signed Lampart and Wajtknecht and then sacked them and signed Nielsen instead of Vissing.

There was an element of bad luck for the club that Zach lost confidence and retired for the season and that Stefan got injured.

It's not how you start, it's how you finish.
