The probable cost of erecting temporary stands could outweigh the income.

There has just been 2 Moto GP races from Jerez in Spain over two weekends. Big open spaces but NO spectators.  F1 this weekend (and week after) from Silverstone, masses of terracing - NO spectators.

Did you notice the spectators in Poland last night in Torun. No social distancing no mask wearing from the vast proportion of crowd despite lots of empty terracing.

That would possibly make sense, I do hope in time that BV can put some good old fashioned terracing in on their 3rd/4th bend, such wasted space .....

Need more fans to make it viable I would think...

Grandstand alone is circa 1800 and the whole crowd seldom gets too close to that..

They reduced the back straight stand due to not needing the size it was too..

Would certainly 'complete' the stadium though..

The original plans were for a capacity of 6000.

That never materialised and in the first year the capacity of the South stand was greatly reduced as it contained temporary stands.

The stands on the 3rd and 4th bend were meant to boost capacity to 10000 for the first World Cup.... again this did not happen as the capacity of the South stand had been reduced due to the temporary stands.

we will have to wait and see what happens in October

Some belle vue fans wasn't born yesterday, 2020 is all about reality, and reality says that not enough fans will be allowed into the stadium in march.

we will see some NL speedway though, ( that's my thought) and as always I will look forward to that if it happens

Especially with two of the best riders in the world hopefully fit and well to ride...

Bewley as U21 rider as a track specialist, and track record holder, isn't a bad third rider to have too..

(If they are stil doing the compulsory U21 rider?)..

If not then Craig Cook is another who is excellent around the NSS..

Could be a very good couple of days..

(If on)...

so is charles wright IE british champ :t:

If Craig Cook still rode for Belle Vue, I am pretty certain that you would not have posted that comment.

Mark Lemon has described the newly fitted speed transponders as a step forward for the sport. To me its just more money to not make anything better, along with 4 valvers, laydowns, etc
