Could Lawson make an appearance to lead the team? There is a section started by Blobby in the National League Section for the Armadale Devils. They are being run separately from the Monarchs after all.

Gazc 7,093 Posted December 16, 2019 (edited) Credit to the Edinburgh promotion a long awaited return for NL speedway north of the border. Here's hoping both sets of supporters give this there full support. Edited December 16, 2019 by Gazc 4

It will be rare that Glasgow are not at home if Monarchs ain't. A Saturday afternoon outwith the football season might attract fans from both. It would also be better for the visiting teams, who may well contain schoolboys. But no doubt planning restriction mean that's not an option anymore.
Tom Thumb 81 Posted December 18, 2019 Back in 2005 the rode on Saturday afternoon, we came up with Sittingbourne and watched Edinburgh vs Glasgow on Friday night, Devils vs Crusaders on Sat afternoon then down to Berwick for Saturday night (but that was rained off)
Paulco 7,075 Posted December 19, 2019 Poor crowd levels on a Saturday afternoon was why they stopped before , so I hope it works this time . The only way we're going to have new Scottish talent is by having a NL side for them to cut their teeth , so let's hope this is a big success

There were a number of residents objecting to the application for permanent consent for the Monarchs, so to give strength to that application John Campbell pulled the plug. The application was successful and consent was given. It was the sensible thing to do. I think if it hadn't been for that John would have kept going even although crowds weren't great.

Mr Blobby 2,661 Posted January 27, 2020 https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2020-01-27/new-for-2020-emtvlive great news, this was trialed last season and thankfully the bspa have given it they’re full backing. great for people that live too far away to support their side to still watch their side in action. Also for away fans who can’t make the trip north who can still watch their sides also. extra revenue stream as well which in this sport is a positive. Well done to all involved. 6

That's pretty awesome, must be considered a 'win win' for all and very much keeping up with the times. Certainly not quite like being there 'live' (although bound to be much warmer!) but surely will have a net gain (so long as technical enforcement based on actual geography is assured e.g. Scottish derbies) in revenue terms. JanAndersen 822 Posted January 27, 2020 Great move by the club. Hope it doesn't drive too many away (it really shouldn't) but there are obviously ways to get round the radius exclusion.
