JUST for the record, it is Torun that are selling the tickets.

BSI / FIM are responsible for what comes off their web site, and if they are presenting themselves as the ticketing portal, then they are responsible for that. Just like if you buy milk from Asda, and it's bad, Asda are responsible for the product. The end consumer doesn't care if it came from a cow called Daisy that is part of Farmer Palmer's dairy herd, in a little rural enclave of southern England.

BUT when you buy milk from Asda they receive the money... Torun not BSI receive the proceeds from sale of tickets.

Until the GP is officially cancelled there is no need to stop ticket sales.   Surely anyone thinking of buying a ticket must know about C-19.

The Polish border is closed until May 3rd unless you have a work permit.   But 14 days self isolation applied.    The big question for the league starting is when does the border re-open and do foreign riders want to have a 14 day quarentine.

Seems like 12th June now......?

And in a press conference on Thursday it was stated it could take up to 2 years to get back to normal. A mask will have to be worn until a vaccine if found

Polish racing hoping to start.   They are taking a strong view on pay and riders.

https://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/8215/riders-facing-50-pay-cuts

I WILL SAY SIMPLY: IF SOMEONE DOES NOT WANT TO SAVE SPEEDWAY, HIS WORK AND THE WORK OF HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE, AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE COMMON GOOD, THEN HE WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED BY SOMEONE ELSE.

Extraliga starts June 12th without spectators.

Google translation of part of the Sportowefakty article

June 12 - the day marked the start of the PGE Ekstraliga games. The schedule and specification of activities will be determined by PZM and Ekstraliga Żużlow. What's important: the league will start, but without the supporters.
On May 8, 14-day isolation of players from all participating teams will begin. Then speedway riders will have the opportunity to train. The games will last until the end of October.

The question, however, is whether by 12 June players will accept the new rates proposed by PGE Ekstraliga.

Poland have a 14 day quarantine rule so all riders will have to stay in Poland full time to ride Extraliga.   That makes any GP outside Poland impossible for any Polish based rider.

Can't say I'm surprised at this. Polish speedway will do what suits itself and sod the consequences for anybody else. The fact that riders had to miss GP practice for league meetings last year showed who is boss these days. It makes a mockery of the sport that a federation can dictate to the wold championship organisers.

It`s not strictly true that it`s the federation(PZM) but the Extraleague  who think they can do what they want- they even annoyed the PZM a couple of seasons ago when they re arranged a league match on a Thursday date which was the date for the Polish championship(IMP) qualifiers. My opinion is the FIM should have made Friday qualifying when it became timed laps and i do believe the Extraleague would have backed down as there are plenty of other friday`s they could have used.

Ban any rider choosing that option from the World Championship for life then.

Unfair on the riders.  Unprecedented times right now.  They would want to ride in all the usual leagues and GP's but Covid-19 stops them with sensible quarantine laws in place to stop the spread..

We should see some practice meetings on the Internet from late May onward.   The teams can't go straight into the Ekstraliga without riders dialling in.

You cant blame the ExtraLeague for wanting to look after its own competition.
