Wolverhampton 2020

The speedway hierarchy including CVT operate a policy 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'. No wonder it's in a mess. Watched Peterborough v Belle View.....hang on there aren't enough teams to call it a championship lol.

It is well and truly broken - but they do nothing to re-invigorate it.  Simply weaken the teams, increase the price and they will still come.  Errrr - nope

Will Wolves even be at the tapes in 2022 if there are only 6 clubs….. can you trust the word of the Wolves promotion ?

Then Sky came in a few years later and pumped many millions into the sport....

Providing thousands of hours of live prime time coverage to a sport bereft of such an opportunity to showcase itself..

You really couldn't fail to develop the sport successfully with such huge backing providing a gilt edged golden opportunity to do so could you?....

What a night by the way... ;)

And I thought all fairy tales started with "Once upon a time..."

Sounds like Wolves will not be running in 2022 then if you trust the word of the promotion .

Surely if the PL and CL merge the combined league would still be the top league CVS says Wolves would only compete in?

A team with 16 or however many teams has got to be a better option and a way forward surely?

Would there be enough riders? So many double uppers/downers ……even with 2 rising stars per club

Even lower team building averages required to level up teams

Would milden hall compete in the new league - as the NDL surely is dead.

Probably the only way forwards but too much self interest and big egos to allow it to happen

Has he?

Can't see one man preventing the leagues amalgamating if that's the way the BSPL want to go.

Two leagues, imo, is suicide for British Speedway.

And as for CVS saying Wolves will only compete in a top league I must be missing something as only one rider, Lake Becker, rode exclusively for Wolves last year so the other 6 riders were riding in the 'lesser' division.

British Speedway has turned from being the best in the world to a joke.

Are there even enough riders to form one big league ?

Well if 3 or 4 clubs don't run next year then I'd say so.

One thing that has, IMO, killed speedway was averages below 45pts.

Each team has 45 available in a match so that is what teams should be built to.

Fans are being cheated when they are given a team with less than that.
