Be thankful for that. If Jeff Brown wasn't such a huge fan speedway wouldn't get a mention at all and let's be honest, who can blame them for not covering a minority sport that can't get its act together.

Judging by the latest revelations next season is all but sorted and the annual promoters holiday will be done and dusted at a Toby Carvery one Sunday lunchtime.

it's now a nine team Premiership with Berwick, Kent and Sheffield .

Poole join the Championship with Plymouth making it 12 teams so Newcastle are definetly running?

Why else would so many championship teams be announcing riders they have signed for 2020 if it isn't all agreed?

Not sure where that leaves the National League.

Berwick!!!  Not Glasgow? Who'd have predicted that?

IF and it's a big IF, Berwick do go Premier that would make it better for Glasgow to move up as well I would have thought. Both would have a local derby in a near Southern League.

out of the two (Berwick//Glasgow} i would have thought  the tigers would be the ones to move up . they have the backing , craig cook and rasser would be a good start on the team building side of things .

maybe even Greg may fancy it as well .

Honestly

Berwick are not... REPEAT not... going Premier next year; and we can only hope that Glasgow do... LOL

If they do the business tonight then, yes, they will apply for the Premiership. If not, they will stay where they are.

Use the Metro.  St James station to either Chillingham Rd (walk through to the stadium) or Byker and walk up Shields Rd and down the Fossway.

I normally get the number 24 bus from St James which has Wallsend on the front and it stops at the top of the Fossway opposite Newcastle shopping park (look for Asda)and a straight walk down to the stadium. The bus leaves opposite China town at ST James by the Irish bar on the side of Starbucks.Hope this helps.

Get the 39 or 40  from outside st James park to either first or second stop on union road byker if you go to the first stop turn left then straight down onto the Fosway and the stadium will be on your right hand side going past home bargains, if you get off at the second stop stop go down Grace Street to the second junction and through the cut on your left opposite the corner shop and walk through the car park hope this is of help either of these ways will take you about 10 minutes on the bus and about 5 minutes to walk to the stadium
