Nice touch having Eddie Kidd present the trophy.

It was. Eddie made a few visits to Waterden Rd, entertaining the fans with a few jumps during the interval.

I remember Chris Galvin (Andy's dad) being talked into putting his new Rolls Royce on the end of a line of motors. He wasn't too happy about it, but Eddie cleared them comfortably!

He also had a go at the regular Saturday training sessions I recall.

Sad to see the situation he's in now, but he obviously still enjoys his motorbikes.

Were the closing words on this broadcast confirmation that domestic speedway will not be on BT next year?

Was waiting for some sort of confirmation however they mentioned the GP next year at Cardiff so who knows.

Kelvin and Nigel have been saying they have really enjoyed themselves with all the travelling the past few weeks.

Maybe a hint but nothing seems clear.

They are not showing league speedway next season.

That we don’t know.

Well done Robins. Total hiding tonight which reduced the entertainment but I don't care.

Awful meeting entertainment wise, fair play to Jake Allen at least he made the Robins work. The rest of the Witches were utterly pathetic.

The referee was less awful than every Witch.

Congratulations Swindon

It may have been pretty boring if watching on tv but the atmosphere was probably the best ever at The Abbey on the packed terraces. Hi ho Swindon Robins!!!

Rain before the start and p1ssing down now.

Age.
Ipswich a team of oldies. Fight fades with age.

Harris prime example ,from supreme entertainer to some one who is only interested when his next meeting is to get some cash in.Wonder if he made any money this season:rolleyes:

Another example of the play offs attracting big crowds but where were those fans earlier in the season? glory hunters? shame on them.

Unfortunately for Ipswich, Swindon have been building momentum over the last 6-8 weeks with several away wins and destroying teams at home. Its never nice to see a team beaten so comfortably in a final, ask Watford fans, but Ipswich were there on merit they just run into a hungry team head and shoulders above everyone else.

From a Swindon perspective, a thoroughly enjoyable evening in front of a large crowd, between 3-3500 at a guess, and a league and cup double safely tucked away.

Razza was the catalyst obviously but everyone that rode this season played their part not just the final 7 including Lampart, White Knight, Bellego, Nielsen and Shanes.

Well done Swindon, deserved champions.

Already looking forward to the Charity Shield between the league and cup winners....

Congratulations to Swindon worthy winners , commiserations to Ipswich , was pretty much one way traffic but you can only beat what's in front of you, Swindon we're favourites at the start of the league and strengthened mid season , all this talk of Ipswich not deserving their place in the final is utter bollocks!!! They earned their way to the final but fell short,  there's no shame in that. Once again congratulations Swindon , also on a personal unbiased thought hope rasser is not to knackered after tonight , you have another final to contest and Claus, Mon the tigers !!!!

Yet better than Iversen, King & Lawson at Swindon tonight. Pathetic, just less pathetic.

Heeps & Sarjeant rode so much like NL novices it's difficult to tell.

Well done to the Robins... So strong at home and coming into form at the right time.. Also well done to Ippo. Many didn't give them a chance including me. They were in the final on merit.
