If it is JS then thankfully he is showing some decent form in Oz this Winter in contrast to last year.

Hopefully time spent with Crump and the GB young guns can reignite his desire. His pairing with Craig worked once before, fingers crossed it will happen again.

With top 6 qualifying and a long league season ahead, he is worth a punt.

tbf, so does having a much better home circuit to race on every week ;)

Always helps when you own your own stadium and have big financial clout to make improvements on and off track. If it wasn't for your current owners Glasgow would have probably been lost to the sport so just count yourself lucky. Newcastle do very well considering they only have access to the stadium on race day.

very good point as so many Teams have to rent stadia and have limited access and also little of no income from food and drink outlets.

How many Championship Clubs actually own stadia they race in?

Glasgow

Leicester

Scunthorpe

Somerset

are these owned by Speedway Clubs? or have I missed any out?

Absolutely, I'm only too aware - not to mention hugely grateful - for that. One question though, other than finance, is there any reason why Newcastle's circuit remains so narrow?

Am thinking any widening of the straights would make the bends even tighter.

Central Park Stadium, Kent Speedway is owned by Roger Cearns who is co-promoter for Speedway.

Would only be able to widen on the inside as outside would interfere with greyhound track

Again unfortunately for Kent they are impeded by the council on so many things they can’t just go and have a practice day. Although rc owns the stadium it still essential ay like having to ask the council about its use.

But don’t run the speedway.

Dugards own stadium, which is leased to a separate business and a 3rd company stages speedway
