Am thinking any widening of the straights would make the bends even tighter.

Not if you widen the bends at the end of the new straight.

very good point as so many Teams have to rent stadia and have limited access and also little of no income from food and drink outlets.

How many Championship Clubs actually own stadia they race in?

Glasgow

Leicester

Scunthorpe

Somerset

are these owned by Speedway Clubs? or have I missed any out?

Leicesters stadium not owned by the owners of the club, it's leased from a company owned by a Mr Hemsley, which in turn leases the land from Leicester City Council. (or at least it used to be but that's not changed as far as I know). But I think the lease of the stadium provides plenty of access for the club.

Welcome to Glasgow Sedgy, strange Edinburgh feel to the Tigers next season,  anyway if Ricky and Justin can give the same commitment that Cookie does then I am sure they will win the fans over. Still it will be a little strange at first, Claus will be missed by a lot of fans, he has a big following at Glasgow.

A big leap of faith with JS. He's had a few poor seasons of recent and a habit of having prolonged spells of r/r for what has seemed simple injuries.

The natural position for him would be at 2 partnering Cook where they rode well before at the wee team. He's on a good average and will be welcomed as all new riders are. Its a new start for him and us, and another brilliant season is on its way.

Presumably to the Edinburgh fans saying how much he loved the club... Blah blah, generic sportsperson speaking to fans interview

It's understandable though, eventually getting to ride for the premier Scottish club ;).

I hope his attitude has improved. When he rode for Ipswich it stank like a sewer.

He wont last long if his attitude is like that
