Honestly

I was told that the old one was broken as it happens and the costs to repair it were prohibitive to say the least and as such it was cheaper to start from scratch; so not a fix or overhaul but a new one... and I fully agree with your comment... however cost may well have (probably) come into the equation when looking at the replacement...

This makes sense. It was easy on the eye and to navigate, that is about the limit of my technical knowhow however mind you!

The email address to request any information regarding refunds on season tickets or any other information regarding tickets etc is

Info@newcastle-speedway.co.uk

This email address has been given out numerous times on press releases by the club and nobody should have any issues in contacting any of the promotion/management as we are all readily available to speak to.

It would be appreciated if third parties would not try to relay false information or information that hasn't been confirmed officially by the club as this just causes unnecessary histeria and headaches that are not needed at this difficult time.

Yeah, totally agree,,, was only try to help out a fellow poster.

If anybody gets the chance to watch Newcastle sapphire rider Danny smiths races from sunday in the summer armature championship on fb it's welk worth a watch & dean Douglas had a decent meeting on the new ex Stevie worrall motor so by the sound of it all the sapphires had a good day!! After watching the BYC on YouTube Owen was very unfortunate with his fall in his final & Archie just looked like a rider well above his years ( great to see ) & young Ben is a 1 just seems to get better every time I see the lad

Might be wrong but I thought the webmaster left earlier, and there was no maintenance and access given to others for updating.

Just for a bit of fun....   if you can imagine a world where 2021 exists and the Diamonds have a Championship speedway team (with the same averages and points limit in place) and Archie Freeman is available on a 2.00 average.....   what do you do to the 2021 team, remembering the 2020 team was already 2 points under the limit.

Stick or twist? And if you're twisting, how would you twist???

Newcastle Diamonds

1. Claus Vissing 8.43
2. Matthew Wethers 6.92
3. Nick Skorja 5.00
4. Ondrej Smetana 5.00
5. Max Clegg 4.92*
6. Connor Mountain 4.61*
7. James Wright 4.00

Team Total: 38.88
Remaining: 2.12

I read that Rob has plans to run with the same team next year, but that could be difficult. The couple of foreign lads who haven't ridden here before could have other priorities on the continent, riders could be tapped up in the meanwhile to join another team who maybe have a vacancy in their team, being already two points down might be handy if the points limit is lowered,  and Archie is a must. Highly unlikely to happen anyway, but it must be applauded as a start point.

If post Brexit immigration rules apply in a similar way to Australia and USA then Skorja will probably get a work permit, Smetana might but Vissing wouldn't.

I still think the likes of EU riders will be eligible for visa's, despite no Freedom of Movement. Be the same as USA and OZ riders now.

Bet it wasn't just the 1 sarnie ;)

Aye just one bacon banjo with mushrooms but back in the day when I was training five days a week and playing on a Saturday I used to double up on the savaloy dips on a weekday lunchtime... couldn't eat or drink enough back then... 14.10 and was under weight and nothing I done put the weight on...

A small waffierr mint sir.... certainly wouldn't push me over the edge not then and not now...  but if a could get down to somewhere near my fighting weight again would be nice... infact somewhere near the 16 stone mark but with various injuries and niggles I don't have the wherewithal the commitment or the will power to put in the graft required to get somewhere back into shape...

Plus I like drinking eating to much and the socialising that goes with it to give a flying fig these days... you can't live forever and I'm happy with my lot...

And on that note I'm now off out for several pints and a nose bag...

Go on fatty... get in... yeah...
