Bates is 25/6 and has 9 years experience - if he is on the rising star list then it's a disgrace.....

If he is, its a no brainer for Sheffield to sign him

Looking at the Grading lists he is listed on the Grade 4 list. (As I understand the ruling).

Which means he can only be classed as the Rising Star in the Premier League.

His experience at that level is not 9 years.

Its is 4 years and one of those in 2019 was very limited meetings for Peterborough.

In saying that I was very surprised to see his name on the list.

Consistent 6.50 ave in 2nd tier and about 5 in top tier and he could claim a testimonial in 2022........ enough said

Simon Lambert was granted a testimonial in 2016, a season where he rode as an elite draft/fast track rider, so there is a precedent.

So Bates has actually ridden in the last 9 years?

Well why isnt Jason Crump on the list as he has no Professional racing league experience in the last 9?

Edit: Wheres Rory Schlein on list? hes only had 1 or 2 years experience as a British rider.....

So it seems the general consensus on here is Josh Bates should 100% be on the rising star list?

Glad we all agree then :)

It doesn’t matter if it’s 9 years or 4! He shouldn’t be on it full stop.

It will probably be "in the interests of Speedway"...
