Elmo 274 Posted November 20, 2019 So do Morris & Howarth fit with the Thompsons at reserve? Looks like a mid to late April start to the season then.

Looks like morris and Howarth both fit in at 15.35 and you have 15.61 available,if thats the last 2 riders thats gotta go straight in as title favourites a very strong team indeed no pressure on the 2 youngsters.
StrangerKings 11 Posted November 20, 2019 Wasn't expecting the Thompson twins to be lining up at reserves as early as this season, but good luck to them. I believe that leaves room to fit in Nick Morris and Kyle Howarth.

Disappointed for Connor Mountain though, thought he was excellent this year. He will be a useful addition for someone next season.

Cant blame leicester for going the way they look like going with strong top 5 as need 2 cover for the youngsters,at the end of the day its a numbers game unfortunately... Teromaafan 586 Posted November 20, 2019 Trying not to get carried away, but if Morris and Howard are nailed on, this team excites me. As young as they are, I don't see the twins dropping many points to opposing reserves at home and anything they pick up away will be a bonus. If their progress is anything like last season it is difficult to see who could stop the Lions.

Sings4Speedway 3,247 Posted November 20, 2019 Thompsons confirmed and its a bold bold move from both parties. Certainly won't be the worst reserves in the league but could fall victim to strength in depth squads. A lot rides on these two young riders and as they progress and age they need to start being viewed as individuals and judged on their own merits accordingly.

So annoying to see such young riders come into the CL solely for the benefit of team building and to the detriment of their development. They’ve had barely a season in the NL and averaged below 7. They’re just not ready and it shouldn’t be allowed. 1

Yes team would come in at 40.75 if I have made applied the correct 2.5% reductions.

We should be applauding clubs who promote and stay loyal to young British riders. They may struggle on occasions but far better for their development to be in and around proven higher level performers that winning NDL races by 1/2 a lap against people who will never be as good as they are now let alone in 12-24 months time. Most great Coaches in any Sport promote youth and look after them. I'm sure that Stuart Dickson knows what he is doing.

To promote two 15 year olds that can’t even get a 7 point average in the NL just so you can have a powerful top five is poor judgment and not done at all for the benefit of the Thompsons.

I would say the Thompson boys are better riders than those you've named, every so often naturals come along (the last one was Dan Bewley) and they need to progress quickly, anyway some of those on your list aren't finished yet.
