Please, explain, what have I missed?

Nothing in recent times, just a stupid decision 5 years ago which led to a 1 year ban for recreational drug use.

At the time he was developing quite nicely in the Ekstraliga but seemed to be set back quite a bit on his return.

Called KK as a possibility. Berntzon is a turn up for the books, one season wonder probably.

There's quite a few modern day riders that have been banned coming from that area then. Not sure how often how many riders get tested

Antonio Lindbäck........

Understand the comment..

But truly, KK has/had it all..

Also ruthless when he needed to be where Lindback wasnt the same..

On his day a top ten rider without doubt..

The next day..?

A top 100....

Very strange..

He had the beating of 3 of the main contenders there only to get wiped out by a rider who could have settled for 2nd place.

Why would a rider settle for a second place when they can get the win ?, A pity for Adam Ellis but just a racing incident, Just hope he's OK

Does anyone else think locktaev fell off a little too easily ? It's a big step to take moving into the gp series

Why would he take a dive and risk damaging his bike or even worst injuring himself, Surely if he didn't want to qualify he would just pull an Elkins out of the hat.

Because 2nd place would have been enough to make KK the winner of the meeting.

It used to happen in one-off World finals. Many riders (eg Mauger, Collins, Penhall) settled for a second in their final ride to ensure winning the meeting and not take any unneccesary risk.

Even a third would have guaranteed a GP place. Instead he found himself excluded and at risk of not qualifying.

That's why he could have settled for second.

He could have settled for second but (when he can be bothered) KK is a speedway racer and their instinct is to try and come first. We chastise enough riders for not trying to race or being gating tarts, it was just one of those things that happens in speedway unfortunately. Get well soon Adam.

Looking at reports on social media it seems that Adam Ellis has fractued three vertebrae after his accident last night.

I agree with all that but as Bagpuss said in the post below yours the'yre racers they want to win. The difference between a World Final and a GP qualifier, is you're not going to do anything daft in a race to try and win, risking a fall etc when you know you've only got to pick up a point to be Champion.

I agree, just a racing incident Adam pulled a bit of a locker which caught out KK.IMO

It was not anything desperate from KK.

Fully expect Zagar to finish in a qualifying spot in the actual series giving it to next in line.

But as I said earlier, that is not quite the case now that the FIM have changed the rules. Up until this year, position 4 last night could hang on to the hope that Matej Zagar qualifies for next year by finishing high enough in this year's GP series. Now the FIM have closed that door by saying if a top 3 finisher from the GP Challenge qualifies some other way (Challenge or SEC), then they will award an additional wildcard.
I think this is so unfair. To give existing GP riders a free shot at qualification for the following year (especially via the challenge) and to effectively exclude another rider, makes a mockery of the qualification system. In the extreme, we could imagine three existing GP riders finishing in the top three of the Challenge and thus making the Challenge completely meaningless.
