I think this is so unfair. To give existing GP riders a free shot at qualification for the following year (especially via the challenge) and to effectively exclude another rider, makes a mockery of the qualification system. In the extreme, we could imagine three existing GP riders finishing in the top three of the Challenge and thus making the Challenge completely meaningless.

Sorry but that just isn`t true- yes for the SEC qualification place but not for the Challenge- that still goes to further places.

The total SGP points scored by each Rider having taken part in the FIM SGP World Championship Series during the season shall be shown on the Final Overall SGP Classification of that year. The current year’s Final Overall SGP Classification after removing any Rider having finished in the top 6, but having withdrawn from the SGP for the following year before the following year’s line-up has been published shall determine the Rider’s qualifications for next year’s SGP Championship as follows: • The top 6 Riders of the Final Overall SGP Classification (including any qualified Nominated Substitute Rider) will be directly qualified for the following year’s SGP Series. • The top 3 Riders from the FIM SGP World Championship Qualification Meetings (Art. 71a) will be directly qualified for the following year’s SGP Series. Seriously I am. I thought I'd read otherwise some months ago. Did they change the rules again since?

So, did Vaclav Milik, by running wide in the final turn of heat 19 last night, not only lose a chance of a run off for a top 3 place (or even a top 1 place) but also 4th place? By my figuring he finished 5th behind Aleksandr Loktajev on race wins. An extremely expensive mistake (possibly).

No rules haven`t changed it was probably when i made the point more than once that if Madsen finished ahead of Lambert in the SEC and finished in the GP top 6 Lambert wouldn`t get the SEC spot.

Strange isn't it? You race a multi round, prestigeous competition and come second and you're not automatically "promoted" if the winner qualifies for the GPs some other way. But if you finish 4th in a one off meeting with a relatively poor line up, you do.

No offence R&R. You're not responsible for the FIM.

Nooo Not KK again.... isnt this the same guy that went about 4 gp's without even picking up a point.... 

Years ago was a good rider but always temperamental  and very inconsistent.

I was worried before the meeting this was a poor challenge and now confirmed as none of the qualifiers will finish in next years top 10

Not many riders have come the qualifiers as often as him,it’s a difficult route normally ,proving he is still a top 16 Rider.Andy Smith was pretty good at sneaking in if I remember correctly.
