Unusual speedway prizes

In 2005 Wimbledon favourite Mark 'Buzz' Burrows prize for winning an individual event was a sewing machine.

Does anyone have info on riders winning similar 'unexpected' prizes?

Many thanks to member Chadster for suggesting this thread.

At Sheffield's Golden Jubilee meeting in October 1979, each heat was prize sponsored for the winner.  Scott Autrey won 3 heats and the prize in all 3 was either clocks or watches.  He was forever known to me and my parents after that as Scott "What's The Time?" Autrey.

There was a meeting at Belle Vue in 1968 when the second half was sponsored by the TUC, as they were celebrating their foundation in Manchester 100 years before. Part of the prizes were a copy of the book published to commemorate the centenary. I often wondered what Tommy Roper and Soren Sjosten made of that.

Gary Guglielmi's first ever open meeting win was at Mildenhall.

I seem to recall that Tom Owen won a sack of potatoes during a meeting at the same venue?

A few riders recently, have just won the sack, without potatoes or carrots.

This reminds me of not a rider, but a friend of mine who was at a British Final when Sunbrite were sponsoring it. He's been a vegetarian since childhood and at the time was living in a non ground floor flat. He won a bag of barbecue fuel!!!
