they arent forcing any rider to do anything, its the riders decision if you want to ride in poland this yr youll have to live there your choice, anyway do you think any premiership football club would allow a player to play for them on sat but live in poland the rest of the wk,no if you want to play football over here you live here

Looks like you could have to quarantine for 14 days if you move countries.

That would make it impossible to ride in 2 countries, what about travelling for GP's, or does that mean they won't happen

That seems to be the cruxt of the matter. If you ride in Poland, you live in Poland, no freedom of movement and toing and froing, from country to country. (Quite how that works if the GPs start up, I don't know).

As others have mentioned, there'll most likely be a shorter series, all in Poland, if it happens at all..

Most world championships are held in one country each time, aren’t they?

Football, rugby and cricket world cups, athletics, swimming and cycling world championships and the Olympics!

There is a video from Jason Doyle/Craig Boyce on facebook, where JD explains his dilemma of what to do if riding in Poland.

Riders have been told to go to Poland in 2 weeks time - mid-May - so they can quarantine for 14 days before starting to practice at end of May for the Polish season to start June 12/14th.

He stresses that he has some big decisions to make for this season.

Let's be honest riders I think will pick Poland even with a 50% pay cut the top riders will still be on 450 pound a point.  A lot more than British speedway.

Formular 1, Motocross, Moto GP,  Rallycross, superbikes  etc world championships are held in multiple countries.

To have the world speedway championship over several rounds just in Poland would hand the championship to a Pole, especially if Emil/Doyle etc decide not to take part in the Polish league.

It isn't really a dilemma though, is it? A bird in the hand and all that.

Realistically, what's the alternative? The British leagues cannot afford to run behind closed doors. Therefore there will be no speedway until social distancing rules are relaxed, which will be June/July at the earliest. Then at best it will likely be a reduced calendar.

Or, if you're offered a team place in Poland, you get a full season at an albeit reduced rate.

Logistically it will be a bit of a ballache, but realistically how many nights a week do you think Doyle spends in his own bed during the season?

Seems like a no brainer to me.
