Just been given this programme, my current and ex-team. Anyone have score and heat details? Briggo at 3 for Rangers.

I betcha Norbold will know the answer to this -maybe others too. One of my biggest regrets is that I never got to go to New Cross.

Go onto Speedway Researcher website under team by team, Swindon, all the details are there. Briggo scored an 18 point max that night.

Am I reading this incorrectly or are Brett and Gooch only shown in the heat results and not in the team line ups? Were there not 8 man teams in the National League in 1960?

Was interested to follow this thread -one question-was the Ron Taylor-actually Roy Taylor who rode for Neath in 1962?? Also interested to see Brian Brett's score- recall him being the top qualifier for the British Final in 1964-when he was a favourite to win it and regarded as a cert for the 1964 World Final-not to be. Came back in 1965 and did make the World Final- I was there- he rode very well-does anyone know why Brettie retired so young- and come to that I reckon if he had carried on  he could have got to a few other Finals. Any thoughts??

Looking at photos of them, they are two totally different people. I can't find much about about Roy's career, but Ron was a well-known grass-tracker who rode for Swindon and Wolves only.

Bobbath was very surprised to see Tommy Sweetman down at number 8 in 1960.He was aged 30 then was he a late starter ??? he was quite old in the Jimmy Squibb mould when i see him ride.
