SCB appoint Track Curator advisors for 2020.

Most teams will still prepare their track to give a home advantage rather than for entertainment value to the fans. More than likely, these are the teams that wanted the aggregate point back.

The last line of the statement is the key one - having the correct equipment. Absolutely vital for everyone track.

One assumes their first visit will be to BH15.

I wonder if the 'consistency' will mean all tracks have to source their shale from the same supplier; will have to have copious amounts of sawdust available, as well as the correct equipment and manpower?

It's obviously a difficult job so any help from experts who've proven they can produce a track which provides good racing can only be a positive.

What is a waste of money is paying a fortune to riders, and then giving them a terrible track to perform on.

Better track preparation is putting money to better use.

Anything that improves track safety and the quality racing has to be applauded. As people say though there has to be investment in materials and equipment. Does British speedway have the cash. Can it afford not to find it?

We know everyone will say Poole,  but there must be other tracks around the country that are in need of work? And as supporters don't we all go to watch good racing....

Kings lynn. Too grippy to produce the good racing it used to. Can't see anything changing though.

You are right but I wouldn't have thought that’s the kind of situation the curators will be most interested in, they will be looking primarily at tracks with poor equipment, bumpy surfaces, holes, dangerous conditions etc. Seem to remember Plymouth as well as Poole having their issues last year but essentially every track needs to buy into this idea and take the advice on board rather than pretending everything is perfect.

As a footnote Lynn have said publicly that the track will be less grippy next season which can only be a good thing, as long as it’s not so slick that it’s bald.

I think we could get away with rough tracks before the bikes turned into full throttle skidding missiles. I've seen some horrors over the years but we got by.

But like you have said tracks now need to be a lot smoother and if you take even the new bell vue can not have to much dirt on we have seen in the world cup play offs then the finale the next day the racing was so so good . So tracks need to be smoother and a bit slicker
