World U21 championships Final Pardubice Friday 2nd October Live on TV

Recommended Posts

The FIM, the Promoter One Sport, the Polish Motorcycling Federation (PZM) and the German Motorsport Federation (DMSB) regret to announce the cancellation of the 2020 FOGO FIM Speedway U21 World Championship Final 1 previously postponed and of the final 2 originally set to take place on 05 September in Stralsund, Germany.

The ongoing coronavirus outbreak and resulting calendar changes now sadly oblige the cancellation of these two events.

All parties continue to monitor the situation and will communicate further information once it is possible and appropriate to do so.

Bewley, Kubera and kvech and lidsey  are 4 that are bound to be in it,, however after them the quality becomes a bit iffy !!

In theory there should be a rider from Germany, Denmark, Slovenia, France, Italy, Latvia, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine,Finland and USA plus a WC

No he`s now Polish and isn`t their representative.

If you read Castanga in the SS he’s says he will select from Nations, but will also make changes to ensure it’s the best riders are there.Surely Chuganov would be one of the wild cards.

Probably- because reading the article again it`s clear the 15 SON competing nations won`t be all represented in this competition.

Two things are certain with this one: 1) He cant make an Italian win it, 2) He cant make a Finn win it.

Tsukunov has made a decision to change his nationality. Things like these come with a price, live with it. Gleb would probably win it, but if the Poles have not named him...

It is possible/probable that Poland would prefer to nominate "real Poles" for selection, rather than "flag of convenience" carpetbaggers.

Poland putting Chuganov forward would be like the ACU pushing Rory Schlein into a GP as the British representative.

It might be official and legal, but Poland is a very proud nation, and might fight shy of making such a move.

What I am saying is he will probably get a wild card.Poland won’t put him forward ,it would cause to much trouble.

I think even the wild cards have to be nominated by a federation, to be considered by the FIM for inclusion.

Castagna said the U/21 commission confirms the field( whoever they are)and they also removed some of the weaker riders replacing them with riders from other Nations.”we also removed the weaker riders “suggests Castagna had a say .We shall see!!
