From a higher rate of inflation to a lower one maybe but still inflated.  A friends mother was terminally ill and died of cancer recently but contracted Covid in hospital so is counted in the headline figure, ridiculous.

The plan was two weeks to flatten the curve, that was their first lie. I suspect the long term plan is just to keep locking down fit and healthy people in the interest of something or other. Its not going to end well...

That “other” figure is concerning.

Is it a general sweep up from the Xmas period?

Or are we starting to see care home fatalities?

Won't account for all of them, but no daily death figures reported by NI between 24th and 28th Dec, or Scotland between 25th and 28th Dec.

I would think it’s the sweep up from Christmas, as register offices were closed for several days- although saying that, it is a high number for non- hospital settings.

The flu season runs from October to April.

It’s surprising that anyone, especially the government, thought that we could control Covid’s natural progression to peaking in January.

Sadly, I suspect we will see more than 1,000 “Covid” deaths every day in January.

Professor Van Tam just said we won’t know the effectiveness of the vaccines until March but by then the disease will be on its natural wane in any event, and that rather than the vaccines might explain many fewer cases, just as we saw from June onwards.

A lady who filmed in and around Gloucester Royal Hospital proving it was quiet and 'empty' in contradiction of central and local Government claims has been visited at home, arrested and detained.

Anyone in any doubt about what is going on now frankly doesn't give a toss what the future holds for themselves and their loved ones.
