The new lockdown:

you can go outside to exercise only once a day.

Has this government learnt nothing about transmission and well-being?

Laws decided upon by fat, old men, sitting around for a living.

To be fair for many that would invoke the response "is it compulsory?"

I'd be very surprised if many stick to the rules. The government had their chance last year. Now people are growing tired of swallowing this as the only possible way.

In Wales we've been in full lockdown since before Xmas, apart from schools closing. It's like normal apart from a few shops shut.Roads like normal.

BUT he hadn't tested positive for Covid or used public transport ... not defending what he did but no comparison

Oh come on, he drove how far? To have his eyes tested? Allegedly.

Well, someone I know who looks like me will be running for an hour in the morning and walking with the wife in the afternoon and sitting on a park bench with a take-away coffee.

i think the wording was , he drove x amount of miles TO TEST HIS EYES and  NOT  to have his eyes tested .

when all he had to do was to go out side and look 25y. yards up the road and see if he could read the number plate on a vehicle @ 25 yards away ..

BUT, I repeat, he didn't have Covid or use public transport. Can you not see the difference. Had no time for Cummings but that's a fact.

He might not have had a positive test (there was less testing at that time) but he had got all the symptoms hadn't he? Hence the need to check his vision. Wasn't he that weak he could hardly stand earlier on his visit to Durham. Though I agree it was different to the case of the MP hopping on a train back to Glasgow.

Have you never been out to test if you need a pint of beer?

Seeing it from 25 yards just doesn’t work.  :D

Irrelevant. He drove from London to Barnard Castle in County Durham when the  country was totally locked down, supposedly to have his eyes tested. If you or I had done that at that time and been stopped by Old Bill, we would have had our collars felt and copped a hefty fine.
