Covid-19 Are we being told the truth ?

Err ... no.

The study says “at least five months” because the study has been going for only five months!

The other interesting point about this study was that over the five months, June to November only 318 of 14,386 healthcare workers appeared to “potentially have been infected”.

“Potentially” appears to suggest that there is not confidence in the antibody test detecting previous Covid.

Yes, “stay at home” is being done to death and taken literally at the expense of “go out and get some fresh air”.

Patrick Vallance was saying last night that “being indoors” is by far the worst setting for transmission, so why not encourage everyone to be outside as long as they’re not congregating closely!

We had “open the window and ventilate rooms” over Xmas, but “open the car window returning from supermarkets” might be more useful now as ventilation might reduce both the risk of you breathing in the virus and it taking hold.

That made me laugh when they come out with that one.Who the hell wants to open their windows in the middle of winter.Maybe they were hoping for the elderly to be convinced to this as it's the right thing to do.Then the next thing would be many more deaths from hypothermia, but they could always put the deaths down as dying with covid.

Although the ministers keep saying exercise should be no more than one hour once a day, apparently neither limitation is set out in law.

Essentially unenforceable anyway, unless you've cycled to Newcastle or something....

However, what the study also shows is that the vaccine is 95% effective at preventing Covid-19 compared to not receiving the vaccine.

Here you go, Matt,

The Times repeating the contention today that Pfizer’s 95% efficacy was based solely on symptomatic cases: “that figure is based on symptomatic infections alone”.

And that’s why the protection given from vaccines is phrased in terms of preventing the worst symptoms and effects rather than preventing contracting the disease full stop.

Agreed, but that’s not the point.

Sage and the government are denying the science by giving people the impression that being outside is bad and significantly risks transmission.

If the science says that outside transmission is negligible, and almost nil with two metre distancing, the public should be told that and the laws should not restrict that.

Supermarkets are a far riskier environment than being outside and yet they are currently receiving no similar stigma.

Vulnerable people think they are safe in a supermarket with a mask but worry about going for a walk!

Could you also post the Vallance interview that appears under that one, where he talks about promoting herd immunity?

Err.. but some have already been re-infected. And we don't know how many of the others have even come into contact with someone who is infected ? It might be just luck that they haven't had the chance to be re-infected because they are taking more precautions or just haven't been infected again. I don't personally know anyone who has been infected. So it may well be possible that those who haven't been re-infected have immunity still or some or all just haven't had the chance.

Just been on BBC Radio Norfolk 2pm news that the East of England is lagging behind the rest of the country vaccinating the over 80s. They did give figures but I didn't have pen and paper to hand DC2:rolleyes:

Won't come as any surprise to Badge and myself, or anyone who lives in the East of England.
