Covid-19 Are we being told the truth ?

I don’t think that’s the big question at all.

In fact it’s pretty much irrelevant given that vaccinations, existing antibodies and the waning season are about to make Covid irrelevant until this October.

The restrictions are now irrelevant and so is observing them.

...the dates given as regards any relaxation of the guidelines are based upon the data and infection rates which has everything to do with the current restrictions as far as the Government is concerned.

Restrictions on meeting outside have no data supporting them.

...maybe or maybe not but that's the line the Government and its advisors have taken this last year whether we agree or not.

The UK government seems to be willing to foot the bill.

I didn’t sign any disclaimer before having the jab so my claim would be against the Government taxpayer if anything goes wrong, joining in the manufacturer.

Sorted that for you:rolleyes:

They were based on yet another SAGE/Imperial model. The original plan was to open up by Easter...

At least now, however, we get some idea where we're going and the big question is whether people will adhere to the current guidelines during the interim?

If they don’t they will just blame Boris cos nowadays it’s always someone else’s fault:angry:

It’s not the line that sage has taken at all in terms of the data, it’s been a political decision to support the government’s core message - stay at home - and it has no foundation in science, anymore than has “joggers and dog walkers are highly likely to have Covid”.

It’s because the government thinks that the public cannot differentiate between how we interact outside compared to inside, and that it’s clearer to tell everyone to act like we’ve all got the plague wherever we are.

Happy to buy into the message that certain measures have suppressed flu and Iris’s point that Covid has become the dominant virus strain, but the idea that flu could have completely disappeared is totally daft!

...too true with some people's perception and /or understanding.

Me too,  don't think flu has actually gone away, however anyone with smalls, ie junior school age kids, must have noticed the cold and cough has stopped spreading so going forward it might be good to keep the sanitizer going as it obviously spreads via dirty hands
