Not sure he would get out of Ireland alive if he said that. Might want to try saying it in a few other countries like say, India as well.......

If he is auditioning for a drama queen part, I think he might get the role

WELL, WELL, MOST OF THEM DON’T HAVE LONG COVID AT ALL!  :D

More than half of people suffering from long Covid may not have the condition and may just be suffering from normal bouts of ill health, research from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) suggests.

The ONS surveyed nearly 27,000 people, who tested positive for Covid, in the UK Coronavirus Infection Survey and used three different methods to estimate the prevalence of long Covid.  In one analysis, they found that five per cent reported at least one symptom 12 to 16 weeks after their infection.  However, the study also found that 3.4 per cent of people who had not been diagnosed with Covid also reported the same long Covid symptoms.  Kevin McConway, emeritus professor of applied statistics at The Open University, said: “That’s not all that much less than the 5.0 per cent for the infected people, which does show that having one or more of these symptoms isn’t uncommon regardless of Covid-19.”  Telegraph

Then again another study

LOS ANGELES - A new study has found that one in three people who survived COVID-19 suffer from long COVID.

The study of Long Beach residents published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday found that these long COVID patients reported at least one symptom of COVID-19 two months after first testing positive for the coronavirus.

There were higher rates of long COVID among people 40 or older, women, people with preexisting health conditions and Black residents, according to the study, conducted by the University of California, Davis epidemiologists and the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services.

A rare thing. A politician who admits they got it wrong and apologises for their Covid approach !!

Alberta reverses hands-off approach to Covid to tackle ‘crisis of unvaccinated’

The new measures marked a major reversal from Jason Kenney’s hands-off approach to the pandemic previously, and come amid warnings from frontline medical workers that the province’s healthcare system is on the verge of collapse.

Kenney admitted as much when he outlined the province’s new restrictions, telling the public that Alberta may run out of intensive-care beds and staff to care for ICU patients within 10 days.

Alberta currently has the worst coronavirus outbreak in Canada

That is, of course, because they are not comparing them to a control group, like the ONS did!

”At least one symptom” represents one of about 20 Covid “symptoms” which are the same as the common cold, a headache or just “feeling tired”!

Different studies come up with different results

Even the ONS study showed it was still a worry, even if under half the cases were Long Covid

Another study from a couple of weeks back

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/english-study-finds-long-covid-affects-up-1-7-children-months-after-infection-2021-09-01/

Although I would agree that these symptoms would be hard to put down to Covid imo, but I ain't a scientist

I would say that a few days after my 2nd jab I developed  headaches for a couple of weeks that were hard to get rid of. Whether that was down to the jab or not I wouldn't be able to say

'Long Covid' less common than feared - ONS study

Comprehensive analysis suggests long Covid is less common than previously thought, with one in 40 people in a survey reporting coronavirus symptoms lasting at least three months. The Office for National Statistics' previous analysis had suggested one in every 10 people were affected. BBC
