Didn’t Zabik ride for Peterborough and Poole?

Karol did (Jan Zabik's son)

Bruce Penhall and Gert Handberg only ever rode for Cradley in the UK.

Bruce 1978/82 (well,most of it!)

Gert 1988/93

A rider I felt who never really did himself justice in Britain despite a fine international record (World under 21 Champion and a third in the World one year)

You would have to bend the rules even further to ignore 1965 and 1967 when he was with Edinburgh and 1968 at Coatbridge.

Eric Chitty I think only rode for West Ham, both pre and post War.

Correct. Eric Chitty was a one club rider.

How about Bill Landels for Edinburgh-he became Scottish Champ one year-bit of an upset result. I think Bill emigrated to Oz-anyone know if he is still with us? Maybe Mike Watkin for Newcastle could be another?

Bill, perhaps. He did make an appearance for Kings Lynn in 1966, but I don't have any details; it may have been a guest outing.

Mike Watkin definitely not. He rode for Barrow in 1972.

Ian turner, Kings Lynn 1969 to 1980.  And although he rode for Boston in his last season in 1980 - they were kind of Kings Lynn's second team.  Wasn't Rochdale a Belle Vue feeder team ?

Graham would also qualify as one of those who travelled a great distance to attend home meetings travelling from Lowestoft.

Graham Jones (the first one by the way not the 1980's/90's Stoke and Wolves rider!) had his first League rides for Boston in the early 70's before going to ride long distance for Berwick for many years so wasn't completely a one club man!
