Not named

Reading the Newcastle threads it looks like them and not just for this season. Let’s hope not!

So at today's Govt briefing a timetable for other 'events' including some sports to be announced next week.

You are not reading it correctly then.  You are adding 2 and 2 together and coming up with something other than 4.

Not named

Based on general concensus the "other club" is named elsewhere in the article. There is also clear indication that Poole may not have Stadium clearance.

The cost of making stadiums fit for social distancing, plus the extra stewards needed to enforce it, wont come cheap for cash strapped clubs.

Nothing but reading what promotions have said in past few months I think Berwick, Redcar, Scunthorpe, Leicester, Brummies, Poole will run.

Rest not sure will run, Glasgow we know won't.

Add Kent to that list.

if you read this weeks Speedway Star, Matt/Dan Ford explains that whilst the dogs are not running the stadium staff are furloughed, so the dogs would have to have returned presumably to man the stadium for speedway meetings. Hence a possible doubt for Poole.

That’s all rather puzzling, if that is the general situation at most stadiums then many other clubs will be effected and therefore will not run?

Len seemed very negative earlier in the season and although a bit more optimistic now it'll be interesting to see if he runs CL or NDL as can't run both in limited tome surely?

He's very astute, probably the most astute and will know his likely crowd and margins and unique circumstances.

NDL would seem the sensible logical cost effective route?

Poole I read somewhere the only main Greyhound track not to re-open on 1 June when others like Perry Barr did.

If the Stadium staff remain furloughed until October hard to see what Speedway can do, unless they pick up cost of Stadium staff as you can work for someone else while furloughed.

As Poole Stadium is owned by the Council (only leased to Stadia UK to provide a minimum of 2 core sports as part of a designated leisure/sports facility!!) then if Speedway is allowed to return I imagine there could be some pressure brought to bear from the Council (with whom Matt Ford has a good relationship) onto Stadia UK to re-open and fulfill their leasehold obligations. Lets not forget that Stadia UK have NO income at the moment from carparking, bars, restaurant as well as rental from Speedway!!

As Danny Ford says - its certainly a hurdle to overcome but not insurmountable by any means.

Lets hope for some positive guidance announcements over the next week.

I'd be happy to watch any level, if I'm honest.
