Considering they've shed Ekstraliga riders like Jason Doyle they're still far too strong for L1. It's still incredible that they managed to relegate themselves last year. Mark 1,497 Posted August 6, 2020 This is dire. Each race over by the middle of the first lap. Maybe there is too much speedway to watch and patience for a ding dong battle is wearing thin.
Terry 1,319 Posted August 6, 2020 Janowski on a mini-bike is more interesting
Steve Shovlar 10,424 Posted August 6, 2020 (edited) Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz! What, seriously, is the point? Ostravia are are not exactly a weak team, but having such a powerful team As Torun in the second division means there is no real competition and it renders the league a farce. The reason a points limit is so important to give a levelish playing field. This is not entertainment and as a sport it’s seriously a joke. There is no limiting of team strengths in Poland so relegated Torun could retain a side not too far below Ekstraliga standard, and in turn way above L1. Somehow, somehow this side minus Miedzinski but with Doyle and Iversen were relegated which is one of the greatest mysteries I've known in the sport. Torun should be in the Ekstraliga and Rybnik in L1. Their presence in both leagues damages both. It is very unusual for a relegated side to retain such high quality riders as Torun. It's not a vintage season over there but at least they're running. Far too many walkovers in both leagues. Edited August 6, 2020 by RobMcCaffery
Steve Shovlar 10,424 Posted August 6, 2020 Well it didn’t improve. Sending out two kids in heat 14 summed it up.
RobMcCaffery 2,752 Posted August 6, 2020 Living proof of why points limits are necessary, but this is an exceptional season over there in all ways.

Steve Shovlar 10,424 Posted August 8, 2020 Another poorish meeting from Torun. A couple of decent races. CH not happy with Musielak in his first when he Pole left him no room. Kildemand a real spent force.
