Of course Tommy Jansson only rode for Wembley and Wimbledon

A lot shorter, which hardly counts, Steve Bast ride for Wembley

Trying to be a smartarse, eh?

I can beat Steve Bast with Timmy Joe Sheppard at Hackney!

Rudy Muts and Edward Jancarz only rode for Wimbledon.

As did Stefan Salomonsson, Jim Dormer, Brad Oxley, and Leif Soderberg.

I think we need to look at an absolute minimum of two teams for this thread...

Totally agree the minimum if iris123 agrees as iris123 started the  thread otherwise this thread will be elongated with one team riders such as my choices.

Interesting that most of the names on page 1 were pre-war riders when there were very few top level teams outside London.

George Wilks being the honourable exception :)

I was wholly unaware of this fact when posting.  I have edited my original post and apologise to iris123 for my honest mistake.

Last visited the BSF about an hour ago. I have absolutely no idea why he disappears like this, and then pops up to post something totally off the wall...

Yes I wasn’t really thinking of riders who came over for a short spell with a London team. Ok if like Freddie Williams they rode for a long period of time though. Just like we could include Ronnie Moore if we just ignored that short spell with Coventry:D

Chunky, even though my misunderstanding does not reach the serious harm threshold test for defamation that the Supreme Court judgment developed and laid down in Lachaux v Independent Print Ltd [2019] UKSC 27 it right for me to rectify my misunderstanding and apologize to iris123, after all this is the correct forum edicate.

I actually thought Kuhn rode for a team in the midlands, which is why I checked. Must have mixed him up with someone else. But guess he qualifies for the other thread, having come from Birmingham and never rode for them

Was thinking of Claude Rye, although Preston isn't really the midlands. But always seemed a strange team for a Fulham lad to ride for, as his debut team

Tommy Croombs is another who spent his entire career of 20 years in London. Local boy to Wimbledon, coming from New Malden, but rode for Lea Bridge(1 season) and West Ham with some distinction and qualified for 2 world finals
