What's the chances Berwick sign a new rider this week and will have a practice after Bullets meeting?

Congratulations to Kyle Bickley on coming through his qualifier last night at Redcar for the British Under-21 Final.

Where is the final, any idea?

Venue and meeting details to follow is the best we can do at the minute, it would be great to see the event return to Berwick again. A home track winner would go down very well.

Unfortunately Danny Gappmaier failed to qualify for the the SGP Challenge in his meeting in Terenzano last night where finished with a creditable 7pts.

Agree. Good luck to the lad that he has made to progress in the sport.

He has now turned his back on a level where he was averaging nearly 11.4(scoring 13-15 points per meeting) earning maybe £350-£400 as heat leader to move to a level where he might score 2-3 points earning £150. It just shows, for some riders, it is not about the pay day but a willingness to progress to another level.

Or they've got decent sponsors and richer parents :D LOL

Joking aside...I'm really pleased for Leon....is he now a better prospect than Drew Kemp?

In all fairness they are both prospects but on current form you certainly have to put Leon ahead along with Brennan & Rowe. Hopefully Kemp will have a springboard moment shortly too.

Pleased to see Leon taking the bold moves though and committing to higher tiers and Poland also. I feared for a while that he was stagnating but he is really pushing on now. It also means that he doesn't need to keep any reserve energy for the seconds halves and can really give everything to the bandits meetings.

Poland ................ Friday/Sunday

Berwick(H) ......... Saturdays

Wolves ............... Monday/Thursday

Berwick(A) ........ Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday

He will certainly need his travel planner in order but he might be with ATPI being in the Great Britain set up.

Obviously Leon will have to give up his National League duties with the Berwick Bullets but this is a great opportunity for him. Big step up but this should make him a better rider and be a positive step towards his career.
