Just YouTubed my way through the completed round 1 meetings.  It's good Torun got a win at home, it's no good for the club or the league as a whole to have one team adrift at the foot of the table.  Not sure they'd have won but for Zagars fall & exclusion in heat 13, until then Dudek was looking peerless in this company.  Reasonable debut for Lambert stuck at #8 although I don't think he'll be savouring future heats paired with Miedzinski.  Is this a season to far for Protasiewicz? Time will tell, sure he'll perform better at home.  Torun will come unstuck against Wroclaw, Gorzow & Leszno when it matters home & away.

Speaking of Leszno wasn't it nice to see them lose at home!  Time will tell if they will regret allowing Smektala & Kubera to leave so they could keep Lidsey, I suspect they will.  Interesting Pawlicki exclusion from the coming together with Karczmarz although I suspect correct having eventually seen the footage of the action as they went down the back straight - looks like he caught Karczmarz footrest as he passed.  From all other camera angles shown it looks like Karczmarz turned into him after being passed.  Zmarzlik's form looks frightening for his GP opponents.

Jarek Hampel has suffered quite badly with Covid and a decision will be made on Thursday whether he is able to ride on Sunday for Lublin  at Gorzow.

When was the last time 3 brits rode in the same extraliga match? Probably last year if Bewley was fit when Wroclaw faced rybnik... lol

Quick question - Can the Ekstraliga teams use their guests as and when they want? Or can they only replace injuries/covid results? Just thinking Grudziadz would be much stronger with Frederik Jakobsen/Krystian Pieszczek in the team...

This season(different from last) it’s only to replace a rider who has been certified as having Covid.

Who were you thinking they could replace ?

1. Nicki Pedersen

2. Roman Lakhbaum/Frederik Jakobsen

3. Krystian Pieszczek/Kenneth Bjerre

4. Krzysztof Kasprzak

5. Przemyslaw Pawlicki

Either Roman and Krystian at 2 and 3 or Frederik and Kenneth... Personally think Roman is a very good prospect and Kenneth is slowing down and obviously Frederik is up and coming

Norbert Krakowiak at number 8 to slot in as and when and with Mateusz Bartkowiak and Kacper or Denis at reserve, it's a respectable enough team

If you think Pieszczek is better then Bjerre then sorry you are deluded. Pieszczek was an Extraleague rider and was ordinary to say the least.

So the guests can't cover injuries? So for example, if Tai Woffinden got injured for Wroclaw, they could only replace him with a Curzytek or a Panicz? Not Jakub Jamrog or Andzejs Lebedevs? I don't see the positive with signing a guest rider rather than just having them in the squad, other than money...

Not better, pretty equal tbh, but his better years are ahead of him compared to Kenneth, I like Kenneth, bring a Newcastle fan

No- surely you know about ZZ(R/R) for the top 3 by way of averages ?- however there are restrictions to the use of ZZ in Poland- ie you can`t miss a meeting and  ride the next day !!! They do also have a squad system.

I am aware of the R/R system, maybe I should have used Chaganov as an example then haha, still a Curzytek isn't a very good replacement? Considering Wroclaw basically don't have anyone else in their squad? Apart from guests and Juniors...

I'm sure they probably will, and I have not see Krystian as much as others have, but the few times I have seen him, he's impressed me greatly, and Kenneth is slowing down with age, one meeting he's practically unbeatable, the next meeting he's nowhere, personally wouldn't want that in my team... Think he's one of the weakest 'team leaders' in the Ekstraliga, at least Krystian is younger and Polish... The main rider I'd like to see given a chance at Grudziadz this year though, and the reason for my initial post was Frederik Jakobsen, as he is also an u-24 rider and would be as good as, if not better than some of the other squad members, especially if he can have Nicki in the squad (And Kenneth, when he turns up)
