Individual Rider's Bonus Points

Was there ever a season whereby bonus points accumalated in any given match were added to the overal team total?

Yes in the Elite League knock out Cup one year in the 90s. Silly idea quickly dropped.

I recall that one year bonus points weren't included in a rider's average?

When did they stop being part of what was always referred to as the "Green Sheet Averages"? Are end of season averages therefore devoid of bonus points when putting a team in place under wharever points limit is in place on any given year?

They are, yes. The green sheets do not include bonus points.

I can't remember exactly when this started but it's been quite a while now.

That's crazy- I assumed the CMA was used for everything-to me that is the best judge . I remember Bryan Seery starting this in 1965 and the math for this is the best indicator of riders' performances
