Who are the Rising Stars?

Recommended Posts

Also I forgot to mention ( sorry the correct insurance ) as I have it on a video message when martin Phillips held a training  | practise session for riders to show their skills a certain individual questioning whether the session was fully insured which I'm glad to day it was 100%

Was wondering will the rising star programme and the opportunity it gives be wasted by the lack of teams at national league level. No point been a rising star if all your getting is rushed second halfs

You would think it would be dove tailed wouldnt you?

Riding in the higher leagues and then riding in the bottom league..

For many it would also mean a change of emphasis too, one meeting riding without too much expectation and pressure being on them at reserve, then having to ride as No1 for their NL outfit with the higher expectation that this brings..

As well of course also being a possible confidence booster if the higher level is finding them struggle...

Exactly this.  It's the one redeeming feature of doubling up.  When these young riders are on their learning curve they need to be on the bike as often as possible. If they're not doing the PL and CL then they need CL and NL for the exact benefits you've pointed out.

Even if there has to be nomad teams in the NL (whose 'home' matches are at the oppositions track and fixtures against other nomad teams at neutral tracks) to create these opportunities and a career path for those kids not up to CL yet.

Good time to ban ghost teams eh?

He is only a Rising Star #4 in a Premiership club otherwise in the 1-6 at Championship level.

That's Sheffield then.....

Wonder if him being on the list is a sweetener for having to lose Pedersen?

As mentioned on another thread. Only in speedway can a rider with 9 years of experience that can get his testimonial next year be classed as a rising star

Agreed..... only in Speedway, can come up with potentially a good idea then absolutely ruin it by allowing that.

I think was more a case before he injures himself in fairness.
