Nick Laurence injured/unavailable for Belle Vue away on Friday but fit for Home vs Kent?  Lack of Mulford for Kent is going to be mighty telling as the bottom end looks weak for the Royals without him. Actually where is Mulford as U21's Grasstrack has been cancelled?

Fully understandable. Thought little one would have arrived by now. Exciting time and best of luck to him plus partner.  Hope jnr hangs on until after Sat.

No idea. There is a grasstrack tomorrow he is doing but no idea why he is missing tonight? That said under 18s can be missing for any reason no questions asked. Although in reality any rider seems to be able to miss meeting in the NDL this year for whatever reason they like.

Yes they do, I was just wondering. It makes the meeting a non-event really.

Not being present tonight im only going on 2nd hand info and updates but it really sounds like young Foord needs to calm it down before he hurts someone. Limited racing experience and thrown straight into NDL with a bold attitude is going to win him few frienss in the sport and make himself pretty unwelcome pretty quickly.

On a side note good Luck to the Laurences and good riddance to Alcock, poor signing in the first place and better off without him.

So Alcock was missing because he didn’t have transport? Surely he knew when the home meetings were when he signed or could Eastbourne have sourced some solution for him.

Also where was Ablitt? I assume he pulled out at lat notice and Foord had to cover him which left no-one to cover Laurence, but was there really no junior on the south coast tonight able to cover Laurence?

Ablitt aggravated damaged ribs after belle vue.

Vinnie Foord is 15, very impetuous, talented for sure and in time will learn. He will get hurt tho at some stage before penny drops ,

I think there is more to it with the Alcock situation but that will be aired at a later date. Running RR and then the late dash for Laurence left little time to call riders and those approached had limited sensible time to get loaded and to Eastbourne in time so declined. On the up side welcome to the world little Huxley.

Martin and myself were concerned to read the recent statement from Eastbourne Speedway and know how much the Eagles mean to their devoted fans. Whilst the ongoing uncertainty continues at Arlington, the Wightlink Warriors Shale Track Racing club invite all Eagles season ticket holders to join us for free admission on race days on the Island.

Warriors co-owner Barry Bishop said, "When I was a supporter on the terraces at my club, Oxford, the sport in the city hit hard times and was forced to close. That was the first year that my father and I actually purchased season tickets and that was because I pestered him to buy them. When we got the news that speedway was finished I wrote to Avtar Sandhu at Coventry (the closest track to home) and explained that it would cost us an extra £30 a week to attend Brandon and I asked if he could give us some kind of discount on entry. To his credit he offered all season ticket holders from Oxford free entry - an offer that was very well received. Now, I am not forecasting the same fate for Eastbourne, but while fans are waiting for the good folk there to sort things out, we invite you to spend some time with us.

Our fixtures are:
Aug 19th     Mark Cooper @ Truly Independent US Style Handicap Racing
Alan Critcher Pee Wee and 125 Races
The Wheel Specialist Fareham Classic races

Aug 24th      Alan Critcher Pee Wee and 125 Races
Four Seasons Landscaping and Garden Maintenance 3TT Warriors V Oxfor VCradley
MSP Body and Paint Team Jawa V Freelance Installations Team GM

Sept 2nd     Alan Critcher Pee Wee and 125 Races
Acclaim Logistics Island Master Round 2
        Wizards V Falcons

Plus Island Master’s Round 3 TBC and hopefully 1 or 2 other meetings.

Eagles season ticket holders taking up this offer will need to present their passes at the turnstile to secure free admission.
