Berwick Bullets 2021

Ledwith and Clifton came back on 3.5 and both achieved better in tougher leagues. Certainly plenty of unknowns about the whole team but fortunately the ethos is all about winning ;)

I don't imagine the ethos is all about winning with the Berwick National League team. If they can develop young riders like Mason Watson and Keiron Douglas, while giving extra track time to Kyle Bickley and Leon Flint, maybe find the odd gem here or there, the team will have served it's purpose.

Genuine question are Berwick running the matches as double headers or will the NL have their own race nights?

Regardless of supposed inexperience I would suggest that it'll still take a good team to beat that side around Shielfield.

Kinda think it pretty much fits my idea of what a development side should look like. I assume that Mason and Kieran are still eligible for the NJL side too.

Looking good ... just need to make sure that the initiative gets the support it deserves.

Nothing has been announced, but it would be likely that there will be stand-alone meetings on the many 'reserved' dates in the Championship team's calendar.    But that's only a personal opinion, not official in any way.

Appreciated. Will certainly be interesting to see how the pricing structure and hear the estimated attendances throughout the season compare to the others who are running alone meetings and those running double headers

There was always a decent amount stayed behind for NJL matches. I would think crowds would be down compared to Championship meetings. Might depend on the weather, holiday season etc. Hopefully it will be well supported with the young local riders.

Berwick have a curfew of 9.30pm, so unless they start earlier it doesn't seem possible.

Our final meeting of 2019 was a Double Header with Glasgow and Edinburgh

Looks like the first fixture for the Berwick team will be Armadale away

Behind closed doors, and live-streamed, maybe?

Confirmed as stand alone meetings then. Any ideas of the admission price yet?

Armadale have confirmed 2 meetings before May 17th. So no fans!

May 17 is the operative date for England. Scotland will set it's own rules. From what we've seen to date that is unlikely to be before England, but it could be later.

We may be able to run without crowds prior to the date as amateur sports, which the NDL is classed, could be allowed before May 17.  Armadale is prepared as COVID secure meetings were held last year and the guidance would be followed once again.  Suppose it really depends if BSPL allow streaming which is available from Armadale.
