Premiership junior league

Recommended Posts

Fixtures, do they start next week as was suggested with the A matches. Are BV v S and KL v I taking place. How are they effected by the great God and saviour of all TV?

Would it be a good idea to have the matches in the early part of the season? If they want to keep spectators apart, would reduce the rush to the car park after race 15.

Well Kings Lynn vs Ipswich and Ipswich vs Belle Vue 'A' fixtures done and no sign of any Premiership Junior League matches.

Starting to wonder if this league will happen (this year) . Any updates would be appreciated.

Teams aren't completed yet, those that have been are only better end MDL standard and those riders know little more than the general public. With fixtures slipping by and riders requiring a sensible level of time to plan such journeys it feels highly unlikely that anything will happen....shock

Think it was always lip service to the idea of a junior league in the Premiership, but would always be sub standard to the reduced level NDL and not really any better than the MDL to be honest.

I think the powers that be thought that it could be filled with NDL second strings and reserves looking for extra rides. The fact is that these riders are not going to travel the length and breadth of the country for naff all and to wait around all night for a few rushed through heats at the end.

Had all the Prem teams committed to joining the MSDL, then something more workable could have been achieved. It could have even been re-named and split into more local groups to assist with the overall travelling. There are plenty of opportunities to generate meaningful second half racing and offer a little more value on ever more expensive race nights but sadly the deluded board of directors miss it almost every time.

Anyone have any updates on this league?  Still going to happen?

As much chance as seeing that flying pig I would imagine.

A couple of weeks from the first run through of PL fixtures being completed and no confirmation anywhere. That means if it were to run it would have to happen after every remaining home fixture with zero room for cancellations/curfews. Considering the teams haven't been completed as of yet and there would need to be notice given to riders etc its just highly unlikely to happen. Fortunately there will be a nice big brush to sweep it all under the carpet with the blame pointed at riders unwilling to take part or covid or both.

Indeed, will probably cite covid and say we'll implement it again next season instead of knocking it on the head I would imagine.

So with the next round of fixtures starting im assuming the PJL won't be going ahead this year? Obviously no word from the BSPL regarding it?

Anyone yet heard any more recent facts, rumours (or even lies) about this. Unlikely to happen I know, just wondered if there has been anything official anywhere.
