I know it was always Wolves vs Belle Vue to be the planned TV fixture what I meant was when this got rained off on Sunday, Eurosport planned to switch their broadcast to Peterborough hence why it appeared on the Sky EPG/ Tv Guide for a while yesterday, however the forecast is not brilliant for today and there has been a lot of rain over the last few days so a decision was made to not broadcast any meetings this week

..or next!!!

Think back to this time last year, we was in a heat wave and stuck at home, now we can go to speedway the weather beats it?

Perish the thought that the rubbish show that is British speedway couldn’t use some of the TV money to invest in a set of track covers. They’ve leaned nothing from 20+ Years of being on TV

Correct Neil the last i remember i think ronnie Russell had them? I know some tracks that share with greyhounds wouldn't be allowed to leave them down for a few days.

They're not the panacea we think they are though are they, u can't take them off last min cos they are huge, they need to be sealed so water doesn't run underneath in patches, you need to have fantastic drainage on the inside of the track etc etc etc.

Think the last time that was used was the elite riders championship at Birmingham, it worked well but think H&S stopped it being used, something to do with the amount of big gas bottles or something.

They have rain offs in Poland too. And they do everything right.

Dont they also postpone meetings due to poor weather forecast... So they can get a crowd in a week later....
