Hawk127 1,357 Posted May 24, 2021 If clubs are having such difficulty in putting out seven man teams, why did they not bite the bullet and have six or five man teams and make up the evening with the junior league teams. They had an opportunity to do something different but failed to show any initiative and yet the owners, promoters, managers and racing officials continue to treat the punter with such contempt and as long as the minority put up with this, they will carry on regardless. They could have tried some new operating model with six or five man teams based on UK domiciled riders who are not riding overseas... They could have tried a new heat structure, they could have ran with less heats but reintroduced a full 2nd half for juniors... They could have done lots of 'experimenting' to see what worked and what didn't... Instead it's the same old, same old... A gift horse looked fully in the mouth.... So riding on Thursday in the UK and Friday in Poland should have been in Holders diary from the start. So by not riding on Thursday and RR he is with holding his services. old bob at herne bay 828 Posted May 24, 2021 Where's the lad Holder actually based ? UK ? Poland? If he is living in Poland always going to be an unreliable choice of rider for UK speedway. In the interests of the sport and giving the supporters something to watch I think R/R should be suspended and guests allowed to cover anyone in the main body of the team. If a 6 man team in put out then supporters should be entitled to receive a partial refund of their admission. Say £1 refund per rider missing ... and I for one would put it straight into the speedway riders benevolent fund bucket. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
