after a year and a half without racing, isnt it a bit bizarre to call for any rider to retire at this stage?

Adam Roynon seems to be doing ok and he's had more than his fair share

Adam has talent,but was injury prone ,Bates is injury prone, that’s the difference.IMO

I would say more that Bates just doesn't listen, when the cameras were showing Wright after ht2 before he was back out in ht 3 you could quite clearly see Steady telling Bates not to lock it so hard in the background.

His very next race which was no more than 10 minutes after the conversation...

I’m afraid any time I have seem Bates the bike takes him round,he has very little control, pulls lockers in most of his races.He is dangerous.IMO

Hate to say it but after last night,he just hasnt really got going and like you say,he,s a liability.he seems to have put a bit of timber on too.

I'm very much in that camp too, just staggering how he hadn't taken a single pinch of advice he was given not 10 minutes earlier. 

 

I was amazed when he was given the rising star tag but watching him this year he appears to be the most unstable on a bike of the lot.
