Berwick v Redcar Saturday 12/06/21 7pm

Recommended Posts

After a hectic few days on the road, Berwick welcome Redcar to Shielfield for what looks to be another difficult home match. Both teams will be operating R/R Berwick for the unavailable Coty Garcia and the Bears for the injured Jordan Stewart. Have a feeling this will go to the wire so going for a 48-42 home win.

Redcar came through their meeting at Glasgow last night with no injuries so teams remain as above, and no issues with the weather.

Looking ahead to next weeks meeting, it looks like Berwick will be without Danny Gappmaier as he has been named in a SGP Qualifier in Terenzano Italy.

No Bandit meeting next week. It’s the Bullets va Gems

Hard to predict how well the Bears will do, have been pretty inconsistent this year so far.

R/R not really working and Berwick are a different team at home.

Hope, rather than expectation, from a Bears perspective

Agree, might depend on which MPT turns up on the night.

FFS Berwick, three race wins from the main body. Eastbourne in disguise. Someone needs to have a word, Flint & Bickley cant be expected to carry the team every week but if they could all ride the same in a fortnights time that would be great.

Happy with the win from a Bears point of view.

Wright back to his best, Allen very good and special mention for Jordan Jenkins who had really impressed me so far this year.

To win away with only 4 from R/R and a few of the riders not performing at their best is good going. If we can get a fully fit team and then all firing on the same day this is a good team.

Just as well after that no excuses tonight Redcar wanted it more very demoralising for home fans only the reserves doing it well every week, other 4 are being so inconsistent at this rate we will finish bottom of the league.

Well done to Bears, best Team won.Charles Wright masterclass on how to ride the 4th bend.Hope he is Ok after his fall after end of last heat. There is not lot that can be said regarding Berwick top 4,when Jordan Jenkins can show them how it’s done on their home track.(He is an up and coming talent though).

Unfortunately (whether certain people believe it or not) this is a poor side. Built to a very clear budget with 1 main aim (you assume) of winning the home matches. You wonder how long the crowd will hold out watching the ineptness of that 4 for much longer. I do wonder if changes may be looked at shortly. NBJ, Summers and Gappmaier could have no real complaints imo if they got the boot.

I’m not sure where this new signing is. Bandits must replace Garcia who isn’t gonna be here anytime soon. Rumoured signing taking an age to appear. Needs to be pretty sharpish before the season peters out.

You can’t have your top two scoring 10 points between them. I have no idea what’s happened to Nikolaj. Looks a shadow of the rider I saw at Rye House when he first appeared in the UK. Summers ain’t much better.

Doubt this’ll be the last home defeat on this showing.
