Any chance of the Devils team being changed due to the removal of Newcastle scores which affect the riders averages?  George Rothery's average reverting to 3.00 rather than 6.50 and him moving back to reserve.

That would open up a whole can of worms and loops to jump through. Plus im not sure that his 12 from 6 removed would be enough to see him drop back down to a 3.00 so riding order wouldn't change? Plus side is that if all scores apply the his 0 from 4 at Newcastle will help bring it down when the next set comes out.

He doesn't have an average as removing Newcastle meetings means he has only had 3 meetings.  Established averages are given after 4 meetings.

I suspect it will not change - just another rule that the SCB will not enforce.  Personally think Mr Vatcher is too interested in the Youth setup to get involved in keeping to the rules

Averages were not amended in 2018 following Rye House's closure, so I would assume it will be the same this time round. That will be tough on Rothery to be lumbered with a 6.5 pt average.

Considering the colts lost Ben W in the first race, a good result ge thing 1 league point.

does not help when meetings are spread out... but inevitable considering the number of teams.

Good result for the devils. Some questionable sections from my dishington along the way.

He’s at Armadale that often he has his own parking space.

Isn’t the point to give the young riders time to progress? We all knew that with so many coming in at once some would struggle. Especially the ones like Davies who have a new home track and don’t even get the luxury of being at reserve and heat 2

Shame for Sheldon don't think he would of been dropped if Newcastle we're still in the league

"Going back to it's roots, as a development league"...

That was the plan wasn't it?

Neither do I, however I don’t think it would’ve been good for young sheldons confidence travelling so far to score 1/2 points a week. Hopefully find somewhere a bit closer to home and maybe at reserve.
With Newcastle dropping out and with them having a couple of young promising prospects available it’s an opportunity not to be missed imo.
