Gutted..I really thought we could push on for a play off place today with an away win..can’t see us getting any points anywhere else away from home.

Looking like Newcastle are missing Jonathan swales big time track not good

Didn’t think there was too much wrong with the track myself apart from being dusty which considering the forecast is quite understandable. There was a problem with watering around heat 11-12 when bowser dumped to much water on bends 1-2 but otherwise ok.

Plymouth, Newcastle & Kent have to be teams best chances of away wins!

Newcastle no pushovers around Brough... We got some track specialists and 110% triers... It's away from home we'll struggle, especially once James Wright moves to number 1 and not reserve :D

Agreed. Think we should enjoy the fact we have live speedway and be thankful for that. For a long time it looked like there would be no team so I’m very thankful Rob Grant took over. He may not be everyones cup of tea but deserves a lot of credit.Hopefully enough people come through the gates when restrictions are lifted to get us through this condensed season and we can all look forward to 2022 with renewed optimism. Sundays without speedway just wouldn’t be the same.

Could be wrong, but won't we have James at reserve until September at the earliest?

James will get a new average 7 days after completing 4 home and 4 away, which should be 8 August (ignoring rain-offs and  rearrangements)

So James will get his average after 4H & 4A, then it becomes effective the following week and, not the same as the usual '23rd for the following month'?

That’s correct. The way averages are calculated is all laid down in the Speedway Regulations http://www.scbgb.co.uk/regulations (Chapter 10)
