Eastbourne v Glasgow CL 4/7/21

Weather appears to finally be behaving itself.

A fixture I'm sure both teams have been greatly looking forward to.

Should be a cracker.

Drove down from Essex through rain, flooded road etc, now 3 miles from track and weather looking good so looking forward to a good meeting with an Eagles win

Familiar tale on our travels this season . Why do we run out of steam at the end of these meetings ?

On their travels Glasgow seem to be turning into Berwick, eight points up after eleven races and then lose by four.

Three away meetings in a row we've looked in control of things only to fall in a heap in  the final few heats

I dont think ive ever seen 2 sides ride so badly , for 10 races eastbourne bar newman and brennan were atrocious , the last few glasgow bar ulrich fell to bits, another 3 races eastbourne would have pulled away. Piddled down right on start time but glasgow just beat eastbourne like a drum out the starts and it wasnt easy to make ground. Lawson was  superb late on and brennan kyboshed sedgeman in 14 leaving a jcb type space for kemp. Ht 15 cook pushed lawson up the bank

and ully took the brunt, meanwhile brennan hit the grip right on inner of turn 2 and went past both tigers like they had punctures.
Kennett is woefully out of form, wells and sedgeman started brightly for glasgow but folded tamely. Glasgow deserved a point tho.
Track wasnt bad considering , im not sure either side are league winners mind

Seems to be a regular thing for a lot of teams away at the moment, Eastie normally do the same away. Think a fair bit is the wet June weather, seems to catch the home team out more at the start of a meeting as its alien to the norm for them, taking half the meeting to get the track back for the home team to feel comfortable, then being able to bang in the points late on.

Cook not coming up with goods when the going gets tough at the end of meeting this season.

He might want to consider doubling down in the NL next season so he can feel like a big shot again which seems so important to the man.

Agree, still should  be.Bar Ully and to an extent Jensen considering he was the reserve, the rest are inconsistent.

Winning at Eastbourne isn’t for everyone.

Not everyone gets all the fortune you lot had there.

Fair play to Eastbourne for the comeback but I've always thought home tacticals should never be allowed.

Still confident we can beat most teams over a two  legged tie which is we’re it matters.

Still disappointing but another point on the road which before the meeting most would have accepted.

Blobby probably had the track under surveillance for the two weeks before the. meeting.

He likes gathering evidence apparently.
