Yup BT Sport have signed up Richard Lawson to replace Scott in the studio.  Apparently part of the deal is that Lawson gets a free haircurt in "make Up" before he appears on TV.

Eastbourne number 1 Richard Lawson.....

Yes Eastbourne no 1 Lawson,  so I think that means we've got Scott Nicholls instead so who are Leicester now having as guest?  - Chris Harris perhaps  (before someone takes this seriously it's a joke)

Well done lester , once kemp was out and with a superb guest it looked like an away win really. Way too many issues for eastie early in matches. “Fortress arlington” breached twice already this yr ..

You couldn't make it up - seems I have been banned from Speedway Updates site for what I can only assume is my post stating the Scott Nicholls was superb and is  a "wily old fox"  !  That or crticism of Eastbourne's track  !

Oh well their loss - was thinking about becoming an updater.

Leicester's new 1-7 is effective from tomorrow (18th July)

From Eastbourne website:

Drew Kemp is unavailable for the Eagles because he is riding for his Polish club, Gdańsk.

His place will be taken by Nathan Ablitt. In these circumstances, Championship clubs can only use a 3-point NDL level reserve.

If that's the case how does Knight guest?

Still made more money though. It’s a gamble but if they breakthrough it will be worth it,it’s not a given though,he will get dumped pretty quick if things don’t go well.He is a talent though and can’t blame him. It’s our set up that allows things like this to happen.Don’t sign anybody who isn’t FULLY COMMITTED to a season.

I merely posted a quote from the Eastbourne website. The change looks OK to me (see below)

Drew Kemp 3.58, Jake Knight 2.00 from the latest GSAs (Issue 10).

Art 12.4 gives the facilities for an absent reserve as :

D Absent 6 - 7 : G
E No facility : G with an MA of 25% lower that the absent
rider, in accordance with the appropriate
minimum MA for that league.
The 5% enhancement for home riders is not
applicable in this situation.

Jake fits under both those categories.

Not arguing wether he should or shouldn't be allowed to guest but shouldn't the Eastbourne website know the rules? If they don't the rules are too complicated!

It was the hose pipe today.

They got away with it at one grading break when they had 2&4 in 4 consecutive heats, hence the fight back, but got caught next time round and were made to even then all out.

It was so blatant, right in front of the referees box too. The sudden fightback and sudden end to the fightback is proof in itself.
